Day 10 Camino Portuguese 24 September 2025

Day 10 summary. I walked from Anadia to Albergavia-a-Vella which was about 34 km but because I stopped my Garmin a few times it's probably 35 km. I got to the Service Apartment and  thankfully the instructions to get in were on email. It was really hot at the end. I did meet up with Edward for five or six kilometers but then continued on my own for the last four or 5 kilometers. I did start a little bit late but that's because I couldn't get into the Apartment till 4:00pm and I did arrive just after 4pm. Thankfully I managed to get enough food and there was a cafe nearby. It was a reasonably good walk in in the scheme of things.  I had lunch at McDonald's, which was quite good. Veggie burger with soup and fries and a fruit juice. I think I had enough fluids. The first seven or eight kilometers there was no cafes open, so it's nice to find one.  First two hours were pretty cool. So thankfully I had the jumper on and there was nothing difficult about the section. Nice and calm. There were very busy roads in a very industrial area. But other than that I  enjoyed it for the peacefulness. There was hardly anyone other than Edward that I saw. So it was a really interesting section. The town was a reasonably big town. But I just basically confined myself to the room and dinner. Went to bed at 8:00 and got up at about 4am. So I did have reasonable amount of sleep. Other than that it's just day 11 and 12 to Porto. So, I've got about 60ks to go to get to Porto.
